Course Description

This one-day course complements your basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes a fast-paced classroom segment with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of 2-wheel street motorcycle.

Course Prerequisites

Student must have a valid Vermont driver's license endorsed for 2-wheeled motorcycle operation and possess, at a minimum, basic riding skills. Students attending this course that are not able to demonstrate basic skills will not be allowed to continue.

Course Equipment Requirements

Students must bring their own street legal motorcycle. Motorcycles must be currently registered, inspected, insured, in good mechanical condition and meet Vermont inspection standards.

Course Riding Gear Requirements

DOT compliant 3/4 or full-face helmet (if you do not have a helmet the program will have one available for you to use during the course)
Protective eyewear (face shield, googles, eye or sun glasses)
Sturdy over the ankle boots
Long non-flare denim pants or of a material of equivalent or better durability with no tears or holes
Long sleeved shirt or jacket
Sturdy full-fingered gloves, preferably leather

Course Completion Requirements

Participation in all classroom and riding sessions.
